Post Invoices to Tally Prime — Automatically.
The TaskAutomate Tally Bridge is the only feature in the market that takes an AI-extracted, GST-validated invoice and lands it inside Tally Prime — with the right ledgers and voucher type — without anyone clicking Import. Extraction, validation, approvals, and Tally posting in one platform.
Included with every plan. No credit card required.
Every other tool stops one step before Tally
Even after AI extraction, most finance teams still spend hours moving data into Tally. The Bridge closes that last gap.
CSV / XML round-trips
Download a CSV, switch to Tally, click Import, fix the mapping errors. Every. Single. Day.
Ledger-mapping mistakes
Wrong CGST head, missing cost centre, vendor created twice. Auditors will find it. So will GSTR-2A reconciliation.
One tool per step
OCR tool + AP tool + integration platform + manual Tally entry. Four logins. Four invoices. One headache.
From upload to Tally Prime — in five hands-off stages
The first three stages happen in the TaskAutomate cloud. The last two run on a lightweight Windows service inside your network.
Upload
Drag & drop, email forward, or WhatsApp the invoice into TaskAutomate.
AI Extract + GST Validate
Fields, line items, GSTIN, CGST / SGST / IGST extracted and validated.
TaskAutomate Cloud
Approval workflow + ledger mapping. Voucher XML generated and queued.
Tally Bridge (Windows)
Local Windows service polls the queue and posts the XML to Tally.
Tally Prime
Voucher lands in your books with the correct ledgers — no manual import.
Under the hood
- Thin Windows agent. No business logic in the Bridge — all classification, ledger mapping, and XML generation happen on the API side, so your finance team can review changes in one place.
- Standard Tally interface. Posts to Tally's HTTP-XML server on port 9000 — the same interface Tally itself uses for imports.
- HTTPS upstream, local downstream. The Bridge talks to TaskAutomate over HTTPS with an org-scoped API key. The connection to Tally stays inside your office network.
- Heartbeats and remote config. The Bridge phones home on every poll, so you can change the poll interval, log level, or Tally port from the dashboard — no reinstall.
One platform that actually finishes the job
Point tools hand you a CSV and walk away. TaskAutomate takes the invoice all the way into Tally — and stays out of your way after that.
All-in-one platform
Extraction, GST validation, approvals, accounting export — one subscription, one login, one support team. No glueing five tools together.
Truly user-friendly
No XML knowledge needed. The Bridge installs in under 10 minutes and runs as a Windows service. Configure once, then forget it exists.
Built for Indian SMBs
Tally-native, GST-ready, INR billing. Designed for finance teams who actually run their books on Tally Prime — not retrofitted from a US product.

Setup is genuinely simple
The Bridge installs on a Windows machine in under ten minutes. No XML knowledge, no Tally configuration changes required.
Download the installer
Grab the signed Windows installer from your TaskAutomate dashboard. ~15 MB.
Paste your API key
Copy the organisation API key from TaskAutomate and paste it into the setup wizard. That is it for authentication.
Done — it runs forever
The Bridge starts as a Windows service, polls every 30 seconds, and posts approved vouchers to Tally automatically.
Common questions about the Tally Bridge
Does the Tally Bridge work with both Tally Prime and Tally ERP 9?+
Yes. The TaskAutomate Tally Bridge supports Tally Prime and Tally ERP 9. It uses Tally's standard HTTP-XML interface on port 9000, so any version that exposes the XML server can receive vouchers from the Bridge.
Where does the Tally Bridge run — on the cloud or on our office computer?+
The Bridge runs locally on a Windows machine inside your network, alongside Tally. It runs as a background Windows service, so it starts automatically when the computer boots and keeps running without anyone logged in. Only outbound HTTPS calls to the TaskAutomate cloud are needed.
Is the Tally Bridge secure?+
Yes. The Bridge talks to TaskAutomate over HTTPS using an organisation-scoped API key stored in %PROGRAMDATA%. The connection to Tally stays inside your local network — vouchers never leave your premises in any form other than the validated payload you already approved on the TaskAutomate web app.
What happens if Tally is offline or the office network is down?+
The Bridge keeps polling the TaskAutomate API on its configured interval. When Tally comes back online, it picks up queued vouchers and posts them in order. You don't lose any data and you don't need to re-run the export.
Does the Tally Bridge handle GST ledgers, cost centres, and voucher types automatically?+
Yes. All ledger mapping, GST classification (CGST / SGST / IGST), and voucher type selection happens on the TaskAutomate side before the XML is generated. The Bridge is intentionally thin — it just relays pre-rendered XML to Tally, so the mapping logic stays in one place where your finance team can review it.
Can I review and approve vouchers before they post to Tally?+
Yes. Your approval workflow runs in TaskAutomate first. Only approved vouchers enter the bridge queue. You can also pause the queue from the dashboard at any time — for example, during month-end close.
How is this different from CSV export or manual XML import in Tally?+
CSV export still needs someone to download a file, switch to Tally, click Import, and resolve mapping issues. The Tally Bridge removes that step entirely — once the voucher is approved, it lands in Tally within seconds, with the right ledgers and tax tags already in place. No manual click. No "Tally not responding" mid-import.
Does the Bridge support multi-company Tally setups?+
Yes. You can map TaskAutomate organisations or branches to specific Tally companies. The Bridge supports running multiple instances on the same machine, each pointed at a different Tally port, so multi-entity finance teams can keep their books separated.
What does it cost? Is it a separate add-on?+
The Tally Bridge is included with every TaskAutomate plan — no separate licence, no per-voucher charge. You only need a Windows machine on your network that runs Tally.
